I Comuni a nord di Roma lungo la consolare Flaminia, da Sacrofano a Rignano Flaminio, passando per Riano, Castelnuovo di Porto e Morlupo, negli ultimi vent'anni sono stati investiti da una forte ondata migratoria, che ha portato molti romani a venire a vivere sulle dolci e verdi colline della zona, sospinti oltre che dall'amore per la campagna anche dai minori costi delle case rispetto a Roma.
Paesi che nel dopoguerra ospitavano 1500-2000 abitanti, oggi contano oltre 8000 residenti ed il trend di crescita non accenna a fermarsi.
